175 stranded Indians arrive in city from Bahrain taking the total to 1800

At least 175 Indians stranded at in Bahrain have landed at Shamshabad airport last night taking the total number of persons brought so far from abroad to 1800 as part of the Vande Bharath Mission.

The IX-890 Air India Boeing carrying the passengers has arrived at 8.30 on Tuesday. All the passengers were screened and tested as per rules for covid traces and were sent to different quarantine centres by RTC buses, said the Airport authorities.

So far, over 1800 Indians were brought from different countries through 11 Indian Airlines flights as part of the Vande Bharath Mission and similarly, over 1000 foreigners were also sent back to their respective countries from the Shamshabad airport at Hyderabad.
