3-Day Cultural event to promote ‘I stand for the Nation’ on Feb 12

A 3-day Telangana Cultural event is set to be organised in Shilpakala Vedika beginning February 12, said Kalawahini, an association dedicated to Telangana arts.

Releasing a wall poster to this effect here at Hyderabad Press Club today, the founder of Kalawahini A Ramesh said that over 100 artists and art forms are set to take part from 33 districts in the proposed event slated to be held from February 12 to 14, 2020. The event is being organised in association with “I Stand For The Nation” with a sponsorship of BOSS and SOCH companies to commemorate 30th anniversaries of Kalavahini, he said.

Ramesh further said that on the last day, the slogan of the programme will be “I will stand up for my country” in order to pay respects to those 42 soldiers killed in Pulwama terror attack.

Vice-chairman of Kalawahini Harikrishna said “I stand for the nation is a unique tribute for our brave hearts who laid their lives for the sake of our motherland.

Founder of SOCH is lighting up the lives of orphans and destitute, Madhukar Reddy said he was fortunate to be involved in a military-themed event to enhance patriotism among children.

Boss chief Radhakrishna said the celebration of Kalawahini, Island for the Nation was a marvel. The organizers said that on February 14, 2020, the group will be accompanied by a group of politicians and film personalities, led by CRPF IG to grace the occasion.

The President of Television Producers Council (TVPC) Mohd Shareefuddin has also spoke on the occasion.
