The State government on Thursday announced three hospitals in the city for treatment of advocates affected by a coronavirus. The initiative by the Telangana government would be the first of its kind in the present pandemic, and the decision comes on an initiative taken by Chief Justice Raghavendra Chauhan.
According to the State government decision, Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences at LB Nagar and the Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences at Suraram will handle critical cases as they have sufficient infrastructure including ventilators. Those who are at a moderate level would be treated at TIMS wherein extraordinary cases and even critical cases will be treated and managed.
Liasoning the initiative, Advocate General BS Prasad also informed that the State Bar Council will nominate a Nodal Officer who will work along with Health and Family Welfare officials. At the district level, advocates can contact the District Medical Health Officer and the District Legal Services Committee. Mobile numbers and other contact details will be released soon.
