At least 3 members of a family belonging to an advocate in Jagityala died after their car in which they were travelling fell into SRSP canal near Katlekunta vilage.
The incident occurred early this morning when the advocate identified as Amarendar Rao said to have lost control while driving and as a result the vehicle has fallen into the SRSP canal on the roadside. He was proceeding with his wife, daughter and son. However, son was rescued by locals while 3 others were drown to death.
They were said to be proceeding to Joginipell temple for puja in Medipalli mandal. The deceased is said to be the relative of Jagityal MLA Dr Sanjay Kumar who also rushed to spot to supervise the rescue operations. The bodies have been retrieved and were sent for postmortem.
