The Nagarjuna Sagar bypoll is likely to witness a tug of war between political parties with as many as a record number of 60 candidates remaining in the fray after the final scrutiny on Thursday.
According to the Election Commission, the Sagar also created a record of sorts as 46 independent candidates remaining in the fray out of the total 60 contestants. The rest of the 14 contesting candidates represent either one or the other political parties. In all likelihood, it may become tough for the political parties to manage the candidates as their number unmanageable.
