The Forum for Good Governance, an NGO has released a list of contestants in GHMC elections facing criminal charges. According to the list, over 49 contestants belonging to all political parties are facing criminal cases. Interestingly, 6 women contestants were also included in the list.
Further, the FGG said that BJP tops the list with 17 of its members are facing criminal charges while 12 from Congress and 13 from TRS besides 7 from MIM parties. Overall, these contestants are facing a total of 96 cases on the whole.
Thankfully, Malkajgiri division which was in the news last time for 72 people contesting in GHMC elections last time has 49 this time.
