6 booked for attack on medical staff at Care hospital

Panjagutta police have registered a case against 6 persons including the relatives of a corona patient for creating trouble at a corporate hospital in Banjara Hills last night.

According to the police, the family members of a 55-year-old Mher Unnisa from Talabkatta in Yakutpura have brought her to the Care hospital for admission with a symptoms of suspected Covid19. But the hospital authorities have refused admission on the pretext of unavailability of beds. Enraged at their denial, a person by named Salman Khan said to be a reporter of Hyderabad Youth Courage Channel along with Amzad, patient’s husband Mehboob Khan and 3 others illegally trespassed the restricted area and barged into the ICU emergency ward and started creating a nuisance by picturising inside threatening our duty staff.

“The mob also tried to abuse and assault our duty staff at the emergency department, the situation compelled to call our local police for help”, said Abdul Naafae, Head of Operation Care Hospital, in his complaint to the police.

The police reached Care Hospital and tried to disperse the crowd. But the accused were constantly trying to instigate the crowd and abused to the Police Officer on Duty creating a chaotic situation and making our hospital environment very violent and also disturbed the routine operations in the emergency ward and Covid area” they alleged.

A case under Cr No: 365/2020 U/s 448, 506, 186 IPC & sec 30f Medical service persons and Medical service Institutions Act 2008 and Sec 3 of Epidemic Decease Act 1897, Sec 51(b) Disaster Management Act 2005 and r/w 34 IPC has been registered and the case file was handed over to SI D. Nagaraju for investigation.
