At least 8 held in connection with attacks on doctors and health workers across the country on Friday.
In a first stance, 4 people were taken into custody in connection with a mob attack on health workers in Indore and 2 each in connection with the attack on doctors in Gandhi Hospital and on health workers in Nizamabad town yesterday. A case has also been registered against the father of one of the culprits who is a Corona patient holding him responsible for the attack.
The Madhya Pradesh government has invoked the National Security Act (NSA) in that state following which the cases of have booked and 4 people were arrested in this connection.
In a similar move back home in Hyderabad, 2 each were arrested in attacking doctors at Gandhi hospital and on health workers in Nizamabad. The move has come after the Union Home Ministry and the Telangana Minister KT Rama expressed anger at the incident. KTR tweeted terming their act as heinous and of uneducated roots. He ordered the Home Minister and the Director-General of Police (DGP) to act immediately on the issue.
