Advocates celebrate as 10 Cr released to Welfare Trust

The state government on Friday released Rs10 crore to the State Advocate Welfare Fund as part of its Rs25 Crore Fund created to save the advocates from the COVID pandemic.


The government has released Rs15 crore in July last after the trust was created as per the promise made by the CM KCR. The trust headed by the advocate general BS Prasad has already extended financial assistance to near about 14,531 practising lawyers and more than 1000 clerks and other staff working in the courts.

Meanwhile, Prasad while thanking the CM announced that this Rs 10 crore will also be disbursed to the needy advocates soon from the hands of Chief Justice Raghavendra Singh Chouhan.

Jubilant at the gesture, advocates on Friday thanked the CM and performed Abhishekam to his photograph. The advocates who participated in the thanksgiving program include Dacham Ramreddy, Kontham Goverdhan Reddy, CH Upendra, Nallabolu Satyanarayana Reddy, N Pandaiah, Panuganti Arun Kumar, Mohd Pasha, Sheikh Muneeruddin, Madhu Mohan and others.
