All set for SC Verdict on Ayodhya today, High alert in all states


All is set for the landmark judgement on the most controversial case in the world, the Ayodhya Ramajanmabhumi issue tomorrow at 10.30 am, according to reliable sources in New Delhi here today.


The PTI reported that judgement is to be delivered by a 5-judge special bench headed by none other than the Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi himself who is to be retired on November 17 this month. The judges in the panel include Justices SA Bobde, DY Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and Abdul Nazeer have heard the arguments in the case for 40 days and reserved its verdict on 16 October.

Central and State governments have made elaborate security arrangements following the D-Day tomorrow across the country. It instructed the states to take all precautionary measures to thwart any untoward incident from happening. 

The Ministry of Home Affairs has deployed over 4,000 paramilitary forces across Uttar Pradesh especially in Ayodhya where the disputed Ramjanmabhumi-Babri Masjid is located. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), All India Congress Committee (AICC) have instructed all its party leaders and cadres not to react or make any statements with regard to the Judgement unless and until headquarter reacts.

Section 144 has been imposed in and around Ayodhya till December 10 in anticipation of the verdict. The leaves of all police personnel belonging to Railway, Industrial Security Force, RPF, military etc had been cancelled. Police have also instructed all the social media admins and other social organisations etc not to post anything that might disturb the society.
