Allow students to write competitive exams in local languages: KCR asks PM


In yet another letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister demanded to conduct the competitive examinations being held for admissions and recruitments by the Central government in Telugu language.


CM KCR said at present all competitive examinations for recruitment in central government public undertakings such as Indian Railway, Defence Services and Nationalised Banks are being conducted in Hindi and English languages. “This is causing inconvenience to the people especially from south India who are not familiar with Hindi and have not studied English”, he said adding that it is also proving disadvantage for the students seeking admission into central government educational institutions. “Hence, in order to provide an equal and fair opportunity to students from all states of India, they should be permitted to write all competitive examinations in their respective regional languages also”, he sought.
