In yet another humanitarian gesture, Andhra Pradesh police have once again come to the rescue of a devotee who had suddenly taken ill in a deep jungle in Srisailam forest.


According to the sources, a devotee Veda Murthy from Bommanahalli village in the Ballari district of Karnataka was taken ill due to breathlessness at Bheemuni Kolanu (Pond) enroute to the temple. The cops who arrived at the scene after the passersby informed dial 100 lifted him on a stretcher along with an oxygen cylinder to the entrance at 1500 meter above the hillock. But unfortunately, the doctors declared him dead at the Kailashgiri entrance.

However, people appreciated the enormous efforts put in by the cops in taking the patient on a stretcher to the top of the hill which was a herculean task. The SP Kurnool district also lauded the timely response of the cops involved in the operation.
