AP govt presents 2,24,789 Cr budget for 2020

The Andhra Pradesh Budget session 2020 began this morning with the Governor Harichandan delivering his address amidst protest from the opposition Telugu Desam Party legislators here in Amaravathi today.

Governor during his speech reiterated that his government stand for the creation of 3 capital that includes Amaravathi as Legislative Capital, Visakhapatnam as Executive Capital and Kurnool as a Judicial Capital. He also narrated several welfare measures being implemented by the YSRCP government in the state.

Later, the Finance Minister Buggana Rajendar presented his maiden budget for the year 2020-2021 on the first-day assembly session today soon after the Governor concluding his speech.

He announced the state budget with an estimated expenditure as Rs 2,24,789 crores with an expected revenue as Rs 1,80,392 crore whereas the revenue capital stands at Rs 44,396. However, the allocations to each department are as follows:

Agriculture – Rs 11,891 Crore

YSR Rythu Bharosa – Rs 3,615 Crore

Price Stabilisation Fund – Rs 3,000 crore

Interest-Free Loans – Rs.1,100 Crore

Minority Welfare – Rs 1,998 Crore

STs Welfare – Rs 1,840 Crore

SC Welfare – Rs 7,525 Crore

Kapu Welfare – Rs 2,845 Crore

BC Welfare – Rs 23,406 Crore

Education – Rs 22,604 Crore

Medical and Health – Rs 11,419 Crore

Arogyasri – Rs 2100 Crore

YSR Housing – Rs 3000 Crore

PM Awaz Yojana Urban – Rs 2540 Crore

PM Awaz Yojana Rural – Rs 500 Crore

Weaker Section Housing – Rs 150 Crore

Dwacra Groups – Rs 975 Crore

Ration Rice – Rs 3000 Crore

YSR Pension Scheme – Rs 16000 Crore

YSR Asara – Rs 6,300 Crore
