Arnab spends last night in a Covid centre after court remand till Nov 18

The Editor in chief of Republican TV Arnab Goswamy who had been arrested yesterday in Mumbai had to spend the night at a local government school in Alibag in Raigad district of Maharashtra which was designated as the Covid19 centre for the prisoners.


According to the reports, Arnab who was arrested yesterday in Mumbai in connection with a 2-year-old case wherein a designer committed suicide in Alibag after naming Arnab and 2 others in his suicide note alleging that he was doing so as Arnab failed to clear his dues. The local court remanded him to judicial custody till November 18.

Meanwhile, Mumbai police said to have filed a case against Arnab’s wife, son and daughter for what they termed preventing them from discharging their duties. They also claimed that Arnab’s wife tore off the arrest warrant and along with her son assaulted the Sub-Inspector of Police while he was trying to take away Arnab.

Editors’ Guild of India condemned the arrest of Arnab Goswamy in a 2-years-old dead case alleging that it is nothing but witch-hunting against Arnab and his Television channel by the state government.
