Telangana Assembly paid rich tributes to the departed souls of former President Pranab Mukherjee, and Dubbaka TRS MLA Ramalinga Reddy on the first day of its sessions today.
For the first time, the assembly session began without the speech of Governor, with Chief Minister KCR reading out the condolence message of late Pranab Mukherjee followed by which several members expressed their sympathise by recollecting their association with him. The house has finally passed a resolution paying its respect to the departed souls besides maintaining 2-minute silence as a mark of respect to them.
A TRS MLA Gongadi Sunitha during her speech urged CM KCR to consider setting up of a memorial or a statue in memory of late Ramalinga Reddy at Dubbaka so that people remember his selfless services rendered by him forever.
