Telangana State Assembly is all set to meet beginning tomorrow at 11 am. On the first day, the house will pass resolutions, after the Governor address, offering condolences to the departed souls of former President Pranab Mukherjee and the Dubbaka MLA Ramalinga Reddy. There will not be any question hour on the first day as the BAC would meet and finalise the daily business schedule following which the Cabinet will meet in the evening to finalise few proposed bills to be introduced in the house.
A debate on the former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao is expected to take place on Tuesday in connection with ongoing centenary celebrations. A resolution seeking to confer Bharath Ratna posthumously on the former Prime Minister will also be introduced.
Meanwhile, Rapid Antigen Tests for Coronavirus were conducted on nearly 650 people including the MLAs along with their staff members, assembly staff, officials, police, marshals, media as per the instructions of the Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy who himself underwent the test.
However, it is learnt that over 12 persons including a media person and two policemen, were said to have been tested positive. In this connection, elaborate arrangements have been made to conduct thermal screenings at the entry point and the entry of staff of the members was also restricted except for Ministers who are allowed to bring only staff member with them.
