Assembly to meet for 10 days while Council for 7 days

The budget session of the Assembly is to meet for 10 working days beginning today, according to a decision taken by the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) today.


The BAC which met soon after the Governor’s speech here under the chairmanship of Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy has finalised the day-wise business for the Assembly to take up during the session from March 15-26 this month which is as follows:

March 15 – Governor Speech

March 16 – Home to the departed souls

March 17 – Vote of Thanks to Governor’s Address

March 18 – Annual Budget 2021-22

March 19 – Holiday

March 20 – Discussion on Budget

March 21 – Holiday (Sunday)

March 22 to 25 – Debate on Budget will continue

March 26 – Appropriation Bill

The meeting was attended by Legislative Affairs Minister Vemula Prashant Reddy, Members Harish Rao, Ministers Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, Koppula Eshwar, Gangula Kamalakar, Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar, Gongadi Sunitha, MIM leader Pasha Khadri, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka of Congress and Legislative Secretary Dr V Narasimha Charyulu.

Meanwhile, the Legislative Committee led by its Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy has also finalised the business in the Council in a sperate meeting held in his chambers today.

March – 26 – Appropriation Bill Passing
