The amendments which need to be carried out will be discussed threadbare in the cabinet meeting to be held tomorrow. It is expected that the government will propose changes to just newly amended GHMC act but also to the new Revenue and Agricultural regulatory farming policy act 2020. The government is of the view to make changes in LRS scheme but also BRS and other clauses including the barring of those having more than 2 children from contesting in the local body elections. This would also facilitate many people who are having 3 children to contest as corporators.

Besides, it is also expected that the government would empower GHMC to give permission to construct temples as well. Earlier, police used to have the powers to accord permissions besides the endowments department as CM is of the view that this clause is leading to the several controversies as they lack coordination in this regard.
