Bengaluru firm donates 100 ventilators to TS for Covid treatment

Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar inspects the HFNC lifesaving machines donated by Diageo, Bangalore while its CCO Prathesh Misra looks on.

Bangaluru based Diageo company today donated 100 units of High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) Machines to the state government to be used in Covid19 treatment.

Chief Commercial Officer of Diageo Prathmesh Mishra handed over the first consignment to the Chief Secretary here at BRKR Bhavan today. These HFNC machines are non-invasive ventilation (or) BiPap which is known to be a lifesaving emergency instrument for COVID patients who are sick and require high oxygen flow.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Secretary thanked Diageo management for their gesture as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility in response to the request of the state government.

Chief Secretary said these machines will be placed at Gandhi, NIMS, King Koti, Chest, TIMS and all other important hospitals across the State.
