BJP demands Special Land Tribunal for speedy disposal of cases

BJP leader NVSS Prabhakar addressing virtual media conference

State BJP leader and former MLA NVSS Prabhakar demanded to set up an Exclusive Land Tribunal for the speedy disposal of land-related cases so that the parties involved in do not resort to manipulations.

Addressing an online media meet today, Prabhakar accused the TRS Party leaders hand in glove with the land grabbers in the state and indulging in luring officials to manipulate records. The yesterday’s ACB raid on Revenue officer Nagaraj is a glaring example of the misdeeds taking place in this regard.

He accused the local TRS leaders of conniving with some corrupt revenue officials and indulging in land grabbings by manipulating the records. The undue delay of cases pending in the court is leading to this situation.

He wanted the government to announce as to how many ACB cases were booked since the state formation and how many have been resolved so far and demanded that Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao own up the responsibility of the corruption in the revenue department and for failing to protect government lands belonging to endowments, waqf, custodial, Sarvodaya lands and many other departments.

He also expressed fear that these ACB cases have been pending for years together without any outcome and as a result of which the majority of corrupt officials are going without conviction.
