In a fast phased political development in Andhra Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has replaced its state unit president Kanna Laxminarayana with sitting MLC Somu Veerraju.
Hailing from East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, Somu Veerraju has been appointed by the BJP national president JP Nadda. Orders to this effect have been released today.
The decision believed to have come in the wake of Kanna Laxminarayna’s recent letter to the Governor urging him not to accept the two bills including AP Capital Decentralisation Bill and the Abolition of Amaravathi Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA), pending before him. In view of the above, the development has assumed political significance in the state.
