BJP to corner TRS over PRC and Bhainsa violence in Assembly

BJP MLAs Raghunandan Rao and Raja Singh

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to raise its voice on various contentious issues being faced by the people in the state during the budget sessions of the assembly slated to be held from Monday.

The 2 BJP Legislators Raja Singh and Raghunandan Rao met here today and finalised the issues to be talked about on the floor of the house. Revealing the details here through a virtual meet here today, Dubbaka MLA Raghunandan Rao said that they would raise various issues such as how CMO violated the Model Code of Conduct by making Govt employees’ union leaders talk about PRC, unemployment issue, Bhainsa violations, GHMC flood relief.

To a question about evasion of central relief to state, Raghunandan Rao questioned as to why the TRS MPs were mum on the issue in the Lok Sabha. “They could well ask the Centre about it”, he said adding that “Instead they have been resorting to political criticism especially during election time”.

He further claimed that his party had prevailed upon the Centre to release Rs1.5 lakh crore towards laying of National Highways as Telangana has a very less number of National Highways in the country. As a result of which, the state average today has increased to 4 while the national average remained at 3.

He also questioned as to where the Rs1088 Crore has gone which was released under Smart City Development by the centre to the Warangal city. “Why did state government Matching grant was not released? Let them explain on the floor as they go on record”, said Raghunandan Rao adding that we have all statistics and figures with us and will go prepared.
