BP Mandal’s 102nd Birth anniversary held, Book on his ‘Report’ released

Principal of OU Law College Prof Gali Vinod Kumar is seen releasing a book on "Mandal Report" written by Indravelli Ramesh. Also seen are former Asst Secretary Edu Dept Rama Narsaiah, BC Centre Secretary K Jaya Prasad and President of BC Welfare Sangam Narender etc.

Speakers at the 102nd Birth Anniversary of late Mandal Commission chairman BP Mandal called upon people especially from backward classes to wage a battle for the implementation of 52% reservations as recommended by the Mandal Commission based on the population yardstick.

The principal of Osmania University Law College Prof Gali Vinod Kumar, who attended as chief guest, termed it unfortunate demanding its implementation even after 40 years of its recommendations and called up on to draw inspiration from BP Mandal’s life and continue the battle till we achieve reservations for the other and most backward sections in the society.

The others who spoke on the occasion include Secretary of BC Centre K Jaya Prasad, for Assistant Secretary, Education Department Rama Narasaiah, President of BC Welfare Sangham Narender and many others. A book on ‘Mandal Report in Brief’ written by Indravelli Ramesh was also released on the occasion.
