Hyderabad Traffic Police has registered cases against over 1.78 lakh vehicles including two and three-wheeler vehicles that have come on to the roads defying lockdown since March 23.
According to the information available, the cops have decided to punish them for what they said violating the Lockdown rules and would continue to do so. They have resorted to the step based on the CCTV footage available with them. It was found that over 93,393 2-wheelers, 988 3-wheelers and 5041 4-wheelers have come out on the roads during the lockdown period from March 23rd to April 1st, 2020.
A total of 16,651 cases have booked as they have come out without any valid reason. They will be charged with violation of lockdown rules, the police said.
