Cases against 7,060 registered for defying Lockdown in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh Police has given a shock treatment to those defying lockdown by registering cases against 7,060 people across the state.

Revealing this here today, the DGP Gautham Sawang appealed to the people not to violate the lockdown and strictly follow the rules by staying at home. He said the awareness has almost complete now and we don’t spare anyone who takes the lockdown easy.

“We have detected over 22,000 people in the state who have come from foreign countries and we kept all of them under surveillance. All borders have been seized and not a single vehicle will be allowed except for those carrying essential commodities into the state. We have also launched a home delivery system besides advising our staff above 55 years of age to remain in the office instead of handling the high-risk duties”, he concluded.
