Chandrababu vows to merge ‘Bhadrachalam’ into Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President Nara Chandrababu Naidu is now eyeing on Bhadrachalam – the abode of Lord Sri Rama, in Telangana. He vowed to wrest Bhadrachalam back to Andhra Pradesh as it once belonged to West Godavari district.

Speaking at an election campaign in Kakinada on Sunday, Naidu stated that Bhadrachalam belongs to them and Telangana had forcibly taken it away. “I succeeded in getting back 7 mandals of Bhadrachalam for Polavaram Project. Now my next target is Bhadrachalam”, he said and added that he would not rest until Bhadrachalam is taken back. “It is our responsibility to bring back our Lord Rama. Rama is ours”, he exhorted.

In another instance, Babu accused the Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao of preventing the development of Andhra Pradesh. He alleged that KCR has been creating hurdles for completion of Polavaram project and went on to state that Telangana State owed Andhra Pradesh a Rs One Lakh Crore but did not elaborate on this.
