Mega Star Chiranjeevi and star-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan took up the Green India Challenge thrown by the TRS Rajyasabha MP Santosh Kumar and planted trees in Jubilee hills.
The duo had planted trees along with Joginpalli Santosh Kumar in the premises Jubilee Hills Housing Society and the International Centre here today. Speaking on the occasion, Chiranjeevi called upon people to protect the environs as it would protect in this hour of crisis especially in the pandemic situation. “We have today realised the importance of oxygen due to the Corona pandemic. If we protect nature, nature will also protect us”, he said and declared that at least One lakh trees would be planted under the Green India Challenge.
Appreciating the efforts of TRS MP in promoting the greenery through Green India, Pawan Kalyan called upon the youth to take him as an inspiration to promote greenery. “This is what we give it our next generation as a gift”, he said.
The others who participated in the programme include the Directors Anil Ravipudi, Boyapati Srinivas, Jubilee Hills Housing Society Chairman Narendra Nath Choudary, Secretary Hanumantha Rao, Chalasani Durga Prasad, Suresh Reddy, Chalasani Srinivas, Vidhya Sagar, Balakrishna and Atluri Subba Rao.
