City Minister Takes Up City Issues With Railway Minister




Hyderabad, Jan 19 (Telemedia) : Minister for Excise & Prohibition, Sports and Youth Services T. Padma Rao Goud called on the Minister for Railways Suresh Prabhaker Prabhu here today in Hyderabad and submitted a Memorandum on various issues pertaining to Twin Cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The following are his demands to which, the Union Minister positively responded and issued directions to General Manager South Central Railway to initiate immediate necessary action in this regard :

  • Take immediate steps for starting MMTS Phase II works with connectivity to various sub-urbs like Bolarum, Bhongir, Shamshabad Airport etc. Electrification of Sec’bad-Bolarum-Medchal Line.
  • Immediate steps for developing Secunderabad, Kachiguda and Nampally as World Class Stations
  • Starting of new terminals at Moulali, Lingampally & Malkagiri etc.
  • Introduction of new trains to Ajmir, Shirdi, Tiruvananthapuram
  • Expansion of RUBs at Bhoiguda, James Street, Bible House, Minister Road, Lalaguda (Konda Reddy Nager) and construction of ROB/RUBs Gautamnager, Safilguda, Vajpayeenager, Lingampally etc.
  • Renovation of Railway Quarters which are in dilapidated condition at Chilkalguda, North Lalaguda, South Lalaguda, Vijayapuri, Sitaphalmandi, Hamalibashi, Bhoiguda etc.
  • Immediate starting of Medical College, Nursing College & Hockey Academy (which were already sanctioned by Railways)
  • Developing Sitaphalmandi Station into a major terminal.
  • Construction of RUBs at Manikeshwarinager and Sitaphalmandi for the benefit of local residents. Widening of Chintabavi Bridge, Lalaguda Bridge, Kondareddy Nager Bridge etc.
  • Starting of RUB works at Tukaramgate for which sanction was already accorded by Railway Ministry.
  • Allotment of Railway Land for approach roads like Satyanager (Lalapet).
  • Immediate completion of works and opening widened portion of Railnilayam and Alugaddabavi.
