The CCS Police arrested a 52-year-old businessmen from the city Turlapati Satish alias Chandra for duping people to the extent of Rs 3.35 Crore.
According to the details, Satish collected deposits illegally from 5 persons for giving them the distribution network for his pharmaceuticals and nutraceutical products under the name of Unituss Life Sciences at the VNR complex in Kachiguda. He also cheated the innocent public by opening a company in the name of HMA (Hyderabad Millionaire Alliance) Network Pvt Ltd at Hyderabad.
Earlier they were involved in a similar type of offence registered in Bahadurpura. His wife Smt Turlapati Gayathri was taken into custody on February 19 this year in this connection while Satish had been absconding since then.
The accused had been produced before the Court today which remanded him to judicial custody.
The case is being investigated by Inspector of Police, Team-IX, CCS D Bhaskar Reddy, under the supervision of ACP Div-D G. Bhiksham Reddy and Addl. DCP N Mahender.
