The Mining Engineers Association of India (MEAI) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) with the support of State Government are jointly organizing ‘Mining Today 2018-International Conference-cum-Exhibition’ at HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad from February 14-17, 2018.
Exhibitors, delegates and participants across Asia, Africa, United States of America, Canada, Australia are to participate in the event. The Governor ESL Narasimhan is slated to inaugurate the Mining Today 2018 on February 14, 2018 at 4 PM while the Union Minister of Mines Narendra Singh Tomar will be the Special Guest. The Union Secretary for Mines Arun Kumar and Union Secretary for Steel Aruna Sharma will also address the gathering.
The Concept is on mining, one of the core sectors that drives growth of an economy and it acts as a catalyst for growth of other core industries like power, steel, cement, aerospace, defense, oil & gas, aluminum, metallurgical, chemical, automotive, auto components etc which, in turn, are critical for overall development of any economy.
The benefits of the event highlights on deliberations on mineral exploration, mine design techniques, policy, environment, mines safety aspects, opportunities in mining sector, transfer of emerging technology, interaction/wining business dialogues, platform to launch new products.

The Valedictory of the event is scheduled to be held on February 16, 2018 at 4.30 PM. Union Minister of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Govt. of India Dr Harsha Vardhan will grace the valedictory function as Chief Guest. Union Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change C.K.Mishra will be the dignitary.
The conference is for first two days i.e., 15th & 16th February 2018 and is for business delegates. The exhibition is for all three days and is open for general public.
