CM calls on Governor, conveys sympathies at her uncle’s demise

Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao called on the Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan at Raj Bhavan on Saturday and expressed his sympathies and conveyed his deep condolences at the demise of the Governor’s uncle and Member of Parliament H Vasantha Kumar, who represents Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu.

It may be recalled Vansanth Kumar is the younger brother of Tamilisai’s father. He died of coronavirus yesterday while undergoing treatment in Chennai Apollo hospital. Vasanth Kumar and his wife Tamilselvi was admitted to the hospital on August 10 after he was tested positive His last rites will be held tomorrow Sunday at his native Agastheeswaram in Kanyakumari district of Tamilnadu. Sources said Governor couple may likely to attend the funeral tomorrow. However, officials are yet to confirm this.
