Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao has permitted to restart shootings pertaining to the Film and Television industry in the state.
Giving his nod by signing on the file today, CM KCR said that the permission has been issued subject to the condition that all production units should mandatorily maintain the covid regulations issued herewith in tune with the Central government guidelines. However, he refused to permit the reopening of cinema theatres owning to covid situation in the state although Industry bigwigs promised to stick to the government guidelines in this regard with a limited number of persons.
It may be recalled, the film personalities gave an assurance that they would conduct the film shootings, post-Production works with a limited number of people and abide by the guidelines of the state. Based on this the CM decided to give permissions for shootings and post-production works. The state government has made it clear that it cannot give permissions for the film theatres to open for public as on date due to the guidelines of the Central government.
