Hyderabad, Oct.30 (Telemedia) : Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao will inaugurate the 74th Annual Conference of Association of Surgeons of India (ASICON) at Hyderabad International Convention Centre on December 27th 2014. He gave his consent to this effect when a delegation of ASICON comprising Dr P. Raghuram, Dr G. Laxmana Sastry, organising secretaries of ASICON called on him to extend invitation for the same.
The Government will also host a dinner to about 5000 delegates who are highly reputed surgeons from all over India and abroad attending the conference. The conference is being held for the first time in Telangana State. The association represents 20,000 general surgeons and surgical specialists belonging to various disciplines. The theme of the conference is ‘Empowering Surgeons…Impacting lives’.
The participating dignitaries include president of American College of Surgeons, Presidents of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Association of Surgeons of Singapore, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh as well as President of Surgical Associations of SAARC countries are likely to participate in the conference. The Conference will show case the State of Telangana and project brand Hyderabad as a Medical Capital of India. Dr Burra Narsaiah Goud, Member of Parliament accompanied the delegation.
