Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao has unfurled the national flag on the occasion of 74th Independence day today at Pragati Bhavan.
Unlike in the past, the entire event was held in a simple and low profile manner without attracting large gathering. The routine highlights, speeches, shaking hands with each other were all missing this time in view of the Covid pandemic. Besides, the incessant rain has also contributed to the low-profile event.
The celebrations were held amidst the presence of TRS Parliamentary Party leader Dr K Keshav Rao, Government ‘s Chief Advisor Rajiv Sharma, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, DGP Mahender Reddy, and Cabinet Ministers, MLAs and MPs. others participated.
Later CM KCR paid floral Tributes to Amara Veerula Sthupam by placing a wreath at the Martyrs Memorial popularly known as War Memorial at Parade Ground in Secunderabad.
