The Congress party today took up a noble cause of helping at least 1400 teachers with a full one month ration commemorating the National Teachers Day today at Miryalguda.
Cong president Uttam Kumar Reddy while distributing the groceries to the teachers said it is unfortunate that the teachers in the state have been deprived of salaries for 5 months due to Covid19. He complimented the local municipal floor leader B Laxma Reddy for coming to their rescue on this hour of crisis. “It is our bounded duty to save our gurus who have taught us education shown path. Today whatever we are it is because of them”, he said adding that over 12,000 representations have come so far from statewide seeking help as they have not received their salaries since 6 months.
Uttam announced that his party would raise voice for and on behalf of the teaching community who are going hungry in Telangana under the rule of TRS govt. Floral tributes were paid to the portrait of Sarvepalli Radhakrishna and handed over an exgratia of Rs 1 lakh given personally by BLR to the family of a deceased constable who died of Corona recently in the town.
