Congress protest plans foiled, Uttam terms it as a mockery of democracy

The proposed protest plans of the Telangana Congress party at the SLBC tunnel against the AP Govt GO No.203 has been foiled by the police as several top leaders were placed under house arrest while others were taken into custody.

The cops have blocked all roads leading to the tunnel. While all the Congress leaders were house arrested, TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy, Ex-CLP Leader Jana Reddy & Komatireddy Venkat Reddy were arrested on their way to the Lift Irrigation projects. However, the leaders like Nagam Janardhan Reddy, Mallu Ravi and Sampath were placed under house arrest in Nagar Kurnool, Jadcherla and Kollapur, respectively.

The one-day protest call was given by the Congress party to oppose both the AP Govt GO 203 and the 6-year inefficient KCR-led TRS Government.

The leaders later addressing media at Gandhi Bhavan alleged that termed the action as an absolute mockery of the democracy and it shows the autocratic and totalitarian rule of TRS Govt in Telanagana taking us back to the Razakar

The leaders alleged that KCR had failed in completing the already 90% finished Lift Irrigation projects in the erstwhile Mahbubnagar District such as Kalawakurthy, Nettumpadu, Bheema, Koiyla Sagar and Palamuru-Rangareddy.
