Covid Affect: No Population Census from April 1st: Kishan Reddy


In view of the medical emergency prevailed in the country, the Central government has banned all the cargo ships entering into the country besides banning the National Census operation.

Announcing this here at a Media Conference in New Delhi today, the Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy while elaborating on various steps being taken up by his government to contain the spread of Covid19, said that the national census operation scheduled to be held from April 1st stands cancelled. “We are also conducting a video conference with all the states every day and monitoring the situation with regard to Covid19”, he said adding that Joint Secretary level officers have been appointed for the purpose of coordinating with every state.

Thorough Medical check-ups are being conducted at every airport in the country since January 26 and those found afflicted with the virus are being treated in isolation centres.
