The Coronavirus which has shown a slight downward in the recent time has once again picked up since a few days taking the total number of cases to cross lakh mark today.
Most of the Corona patients who were detected positive had to be quarantined. The figure which was at 99,391 this morning with 1,961 cases reporting in 24 hours is all set to cross the golden line of One Lakh mark by this evening. Yesterday it was 1724 with 10 deaths. However, the officials say that out of 99,391 nearly 75,186 have been discharged and 729 were dead leaving active cases of 22,500. Out of this, at least 80 per cent of them were kept under home isolation and the rest are being treated in different hospitals.
However, the Directorate of Medical and Health (DMHO) statistics released last evening stated that only 2,385 are being treated in hospitals while 18,000 beds as vacant. As for tests are concerned, over 26,767 tests said to have been done taking a total number of tests to 8.5 lakh. As of today, over 1300 test reports are awaited.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) figures, however, show a slight decline in its daily figures which have been replaced the growing number of positive cases reporting from districts. Of them, Medchal, Malkajgiri, Ranga Reddy, Karimnagar and Warangal Urban are said to be receiving a high number of positive cases.
