The NRI division of the Telangana Development Forum (TDF) led by Challa Kavitha has taken up the distribution of groceries to at least 200 poor Brahmin families suffering due to lockdown.
State government representative in Delhi Vengugopala Chary has distributed the groceries to the needy pandits at his residence in Tadbun while Saibaba temple in Suryanagar of Alwal and KPHB Phase-4 besides Shankar Mutt in Anandbagh.
Venugopala Chary thanked Kavitha and her team for deciding to help the poor brahmins in right time as they all have been silently suffering from a financial crisis due to closure of all temples in the lockdown period. “Majority of the brahmins do not even have ration cards”, he said.
He also thanked the other members including Vatte Raja Reddy, Matta Rajeswar Reddy, Dr Venkateswar Rao-Smitha, Ravikiran-Padma Nangunuri, Lakshmi Narasimha Rao-Kiranmayi Chepuri, Dr Venkateshwar Rao-Sunitha Addanki, Ramachandra Reddy-Anila, Narender Rao-Sheela Reddy, Venkat Narasimha-Deepika Vadiyala, Mohan-Latha Devineni.
