CPI stages dharna, demands compensation to the flood victims

CPI workers led by Aziz Pasha are staging dharna in front of GHMC demanding compensation to flood victims

The Communist Party of India (CPI) activists on Saturday staged a protest in front of the GHMC head office demanding to build a protection wall along the Musi river in order to safeguard the dwellings along both banks of the river.

The CPI leaders Ajeez Pasha and VK Bose who led the massive protest alleged that the several low-lying areas are being inundated due to floods. The worst sufferers are those who have built their dwellings along the river.

“Since they are poor, they need immediate help from the government”, said Pasha demanding compensation to these poor people who were rendered homeless and take up the construction of protection wall on two sides of the Musi river so that the dwellings are protected.
