CS, DG inspects arrangements at Medaram

CS Somesh Kumar is being weighed at Medaram while DG Mahender Reddy and Mulugu MLA Seethakka and others look on.

Medaram: Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar ordered to make elaborate arrangements at the Medaram where in Sammakka Sarakka festival is set to take off in the first week of February.

He was reviewing the arrangements being made at the Medaram along with the DGP Mahendar Reddy. They have flown in here on Sunday by copter and went around inspecting the arrangements. They also visited the sanctum sanctorum where they offered prayers to the goddesses of the forest.

The also asked to link up all routes to the GPS tagging besides expanding cause-way at Katakshapur tank as it is very narrow and to set up control rooms at every vantage points linking up all to the main control room near the main Sanctorum.

He also said that he would monitor from Hyderabad on daily-basis through teleconferencing and ordered not to cause any inconvenience to the visiting devotees. They wondered to see the lakhs of devotees who thronged on Sunday from various parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Karnataka to have darshan.

The DGP also asked the police officials to set heavy picketing, set up signboards at every point and concerted coordination with the traffic and law and order police in 38 sectors.
