CS launches e-Office in 8 departments in Secretariat

Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar is seen launching the e-Office for government departments in Secretariat today

Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar today launched an e-office in another 8 Secretariat departments and 2 Head of Departments at BRKR Bhavan.

The CS said that, as per the directions of the Chief Minister, the Government has initiated the introduction of e-office to improve efficiency, consistency and effectiveness of government responses. He further said that e-office enables us to establish transparency, accountability and reduce delays. It provides us with the ability to work from anywhere and improves the efficiency of administration.

The e-office include for the departments in Health & Family Welfare, Planning, Labour, Employment, Training and Factories, BC Welfare, SC Development Department, Minority Welfare, Tribal Welfare and Home in Secretariat and Pollution Control Board, Commissioner of Agriculture in HoDs.

He further informed that 15 departments in Secretariat are implementing the e-office system.  He directed the officials to complete e-office implementation in seven days in remaining departments, without further delay.

The other officers who attended the programme include Spl. Chief Secretary, LET&F Smt Rani Kumudini, Prl. Secretary, ITE&C Jayesh Ranjan, Prl. Secretary, Home Ravi Gupta, Member Secretary, PCB Smt. Neetu Kumari Prasad, Spl. Secretary, Finance Ronald Rose, Spl. Secretary, SCDD Vijay Kumar and other officials.
