DGP releases handbook on Information Technology Security



Hyderabad: The Telangana Director General of Police (DGP), Anurag Sharma has unveiled a handbook titled “Information Technology Security – Best Practices” in his chambers in DGP office today. The handbook contains handling of computers, Malware defense, security of removable information storage media, smart devices (smartphones, tabs, smart TV etc), home devices (Wi-Fi, ADSL routers), online transaction/ATM, social networking, e-mail communication, password,  internet browsing and multi-functional peripherals for distributing to all police officers and men working in Telangana to educate them regarding Information security.

The DGP, TS, Hyderabad has appreciated IGP, Intelligence, TS and his team for their efforts in preparing the book which would be very much useful to the police organisation and even to the general public. IGP (Per) B.Shivadhar Reddy, IGP, SIB V.C Sajjanar, IGP, Intelligence V. Naveen Chand, DIG, CI Cell Rajesh Kumar were among those participated in the programme.
