DIG denies any stone-pelting incident on Chandrababu convoy

DIG of Ananthapuram range Kranti Rana Tata is seen addressing press conference on the stone-pelting incident.

The Tirupathi episode wherein Chandrababu Naidu’s convoy was allegedly attacked with stones has taken a different turn today with the Ananthapuram Range DIG Kanthi Rana Tata denying any such incident taking place.

Addressing a press conference here today, the SP said that a thorough investigation into the alleged stone-pelting incident on the Condrababu Naidu during an electioneering on Tuesday has found no evidence.

“We went for scene reconstruction at the place of incident and we found no evidence. We have inquired with at least 20 people including his security men, local leaders, police and checked up the CC footage as well but none had confirmed that there was such an incident taken place”, he said.

Meanwhile, the TD leaders raised much political heat on the incident by approaching the Home Secretary in New Delhi and urged to hold the elections under CRPF control. The local leaders including Varla Ramaiah, Ashok Kumar etc met the Governor back home in Vijayawada and complained against the ruling government.
