Consequent to the appeal made by the Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao yesterday for liberal donations to the CMRF, the first to react was the Chairman of the Megha Engineering Infrastructure Limited (MEIL), Krishna Reddy who donated a Rs 10 crore to CM Relief Fund followed by the Delhi Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal who announced a Rs 15 Crore contribution on behalf of his Government in Delhi.
Arvind Kejriwal said the Delhi state would stand by the Telangana state in this hour of natural calamity. Telangana State Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao thanked Arvind Kejriwal on behalf of people in Telangana for announcing Rs 15 Crore financial assistance and spoke to over the telephone. He also conveyed his thanks to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palani Swami over the telephone this morning for announcing Rs10 Crore to enable it to meet the flood-fury in Hyderabad.
Telugu cine hero Nagarjuna is the first to react from the Telugu cine industry as announced a sum of Rs 50 lakh to the Telangana Chief Ministers Relief Fund (CMRF) today. The other heroes Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu announced Rs 1 crore each while Junior NTR and Vijay Devarakonda announced a sum of Rs 50 lakh and Rs10 lakh respectively.
