Fall of TRS begins as BJP set to rise in Telangana: Dr K Laxman

President of BJP National OBC Morcha Dr K Laxman is seen addressing the Meet the Press at Press Club Hyderabad (R) President of Telangana Journalists Union Kappara Prasad

President of the National OBC Morcha of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Dr K Laxman demanded the resignation of Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao for what he termed owing to the responsibility of his party losing in the GHMC elections.

Coming down heavily on the state government during a Meet the Press programme organised by the Telangana Journalists Union (TJU) here at Press Club Hyderabad today, Dr Laxman said “KTR should be ashamed of himself for blaming BJP for its utter failure in GHMC polls. In fact, he should resign as the Municipal Minister as people rejected him for reducing Hyderabad into a graveyard.

To a query about KCR extending support to the proposed Bharat Bandh on December 8, Dr Laxman charged that in order to divert the attention of the people from his failures in the recent GHMC elections, he had declared the support to farmers agitation. He alleged that KCR is indulging in the vicious campaign against the new Agricultural laws by misinterpreting to his political advantage. He also explained that despite the fact that MSP and Market Yards would remain, the opposition is making hue and cry by wrongly interpreting it.

Continuing his tirade against KCR, Laxman alleged that KCR had cheated every section in the society including SCs, BCs besides Journalists to whom he promised houses but failed to fulfil and declared that “the fall of TRS has begun with BJP’s rising in Telangana” and announced that BJP would take on TRS in any election to come including the forthcoming general elections.

He also said the BJP would work towards objective of coming to power in 2023 or whenever the elections are going to be held. “We will continue expose TRS of its every mistake”, he said

Dr Laxman while brushing aside when asked as to why Andhra settlers have rejected the BJP in the city saying it’s only in one or two pockets because of TRS poll management but in rest of the divisions including LB Nagar, Uppal, especially in IT corridor etc wherein more number of Andhra settlers are there, “we won”.

“Forget about Andhra settlers BJP won 10 seats in the old city where MIM is supposed to be strong”, he pointed out adding that going by KTR’s propaganda that if BJP wins communal riots would take place and peace would be disturbed, BJP should not have won in those pockets especially in the areas like Begum Bazar, Osman Gunj in Goshamahal division wherein north Indians are more. He also thanked all those who voted for BJP saying they once again proved that “Hyderabad is a mini India” and reposed faith in BJP wherein people from all states live in harmony. “And show me a single state wherein communal disturbances took place during the 7 years of BJP ruling”, he questioned.
