Floating Restaurants to come up in city lakes soon: Srinivas Goud

The State Tourism Department is set to introduce an ultra-modern high-tech 80-seater solar-based Electrical Cruiser which will also serve as a moving restaurant in the Hussain Sagar and Durgam Cheruvu lakes.


Announcing this here after an unexpected visit to the ongoing Boat construction works in Hussain Sagar, Srinivas Goud said the construction works of 2 ultra-modern cruise boats which will have 2 floors each is under construction. Two other boats will also be deployed at Durgam Cheruvu lake in Madhapur to entertain the visitors.

Explaining the features of the cruisers, he said the boats will have facility to hold small birthday parties, and small kitty parties on board and said a similar such facility will be made available at Yadadri and Kaleswaram project also as part of government’s endeavour to make Telangana a tourist destination.

He further announced that similar facilities will also be made available at Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir wherein the 80-seater moving restaurant will also serve the tourists.

Tourism MD Manohar Rao, ED Shankar Reddy, GM Ibrahim and other officers participated in the program.
