Fresh ACB cases against Amaravathi farmers for ‘inside trading’

The Andhra Pradesh government today registered cases against land transactions pertaining to sale and purchase of lands in Amaravathi.

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths who have camped in Thullur for 15 days have finally registered the cases related to sale and purchase of lands including assigned lands reportedly on the instructions from the government which understood to have issued orders based on the report submitted by the SIT.

The registration of ACB cases against the farmers of Amaravathi who has given their lands to the government for constructing their capital has evoked sharp reactions from various quarters as they consider the move as part of witch-hunting by the government. Meanwhile, the farmers have intensified their agitation in the area underrated by the move.
