The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has decided to supply Covid-19 Home Isolation Kits to those asymptomatic patients who were tested positive but have been placed under home quarantine.
According to the Commissioner Lokesh Kumar, GHMC has procured 20,000 kits out of which at least 15,000 have already been distributed to the patients. As per the central guidelines, a positive patient needs to be under quarantine for a minimum of 17 days and in accordance with this, there are 9 varieties of items including medicines and protection kits have been provided in the kit.
Each kit will consist of Vitamin-C Tablets-34, Zinc tablets-17, B-complex tablets-17, Sanitizer bottle-1, handwash liquid bottle-1, hand gloves- 2 pairs, Sodium Hypochloride liquid bottle-1, besides one brochure explaining the usage schedule.
A QR code has also been printed on the front of the kit which by scanning, the information pertaining to medical advises and suggestions would receive on the phone.
He further informed that the local area medical officers under the supervision of Zonal Commissioners, and Deputy Commissioners will personally handover the kits to the needy patients at home.
