Governor should take control of health dept in the state: TRLD meet

Former MLC and President of the Telangana Rashtriya Lok Dal (TRLD) Kapilavai Dileep Kumar appealed to the Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan to take control of the state Medical and Health Department as it failed to contain the spread of the virus.

Initiating a debate on Covid Awareness at a hotel in Kachiguda today organised by his party, Dileep Kumar came down heavily on the state government for what he termed failing to raise up to the occasion. “The state has failed to reach to the people’s expectations as for Covid management is concerned”, he said.


Congress leader Addanki Dayakar accused the CM of mishandling the Covid situation by not conducting tests liberally. He also accused the Centre of imposing lockdown in haste. “This has resulted in the disruption of public life as many were put to a lot of hardships”, he said.

An expert physician Dr Vasantha Kumar stated that over 40 per cent of people including youngsters are falling prey to the disease while they do not show any symptoms. Another senior doctor Dr Nageshwar Rao expressed his concern over the growing number of suicides among Corona patients and wanted the government to infuse confidence among them by taking up awareness programmes.
